Milwaukee Police Officers Accused Of Illegal Searches Due In Court

Posted on

As previously reported on this website here, four Milwaukee Police Department (“MPD”) officers stand accused of conducting illegal strip searches and illegal body cavity searches. MPD officers Michael Vagnini, Jeffrey Dollhopf, Brian Kozelek and Jacob Knight, are due in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Thursday, March 21, 2013 for a motion hearing. The MPD officers are expected to ask the court to move their trial out of Milwaukee because of the pre-trial publicity. Officer Vagnini, whose trial begins on April 29, 2013, will be tried separately from the other three MPD officers. Their trial begins on June 3, 2013. Read more about the illegal search cases on the Fox 6 Milwaukee website here.

The Milwaukee civil rights lawyers of Samster, Konkel & Safran represent several victims of the allegedly illegal searches conducted by the MPD officers. We will provide continuing updates on the trial of the officers on this website, and on our Blog, which can be found here.
