Construction on Interstate 94 Begins

Posted on

The weather is warming up in Wisconsin, meaning that construction season will soon be in full swing. In fact, a major road project on 16 miles on Interstate 94 in Milwaukee and Racine Counties is getting underway. Due to the wear and tear associated with heavy use, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will be resurfacing the freeway. The work begins in Racine County, between County KR and Highway G. Once that work is completed, crews will begin work on the Milwaukee County portion of the freeway, from Highway G to just north of Rawson Avenue. While most of the work will be performed at night, drivers will have to deal with one-lane roads during the day. The project is expected to be completed by late summer.
