In an effort to prevent automobile accidents around road construction sites, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has declared the week of April 15-19, 2013 as Work Zone Awareness Week. The proclamation issued by Governor Walker reminds drivers to reduce speed and maintain proper lookout around construction areas, due to the narrowed lanes, temporary pavement and lane shifts that often accompany road work. The Wisconsin automobile accident attorneys of Samster, Konkel & Safran, S.C. applaud the efforts of Governor Walker to improve traffic safety around construction zones. We encourage you to practice safe driving at all times, and especially during road construction. For tips on how to drive safely in work zones, please see the Wisconsin Department of Transportation website here.
