Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputies Stop Wrong Way Driver

On Monday, December 30, 2013, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies cited an 89-year-old male driver from Cudahy for driving the wrong way on U.S. Highway 794. The man was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway around 12:30 P.M. A witness spotted the wrong way driver exiting the highway at Pennsylvania Avenue, where he was then stopped by Cudahy police. According to the authorities, the driver showed no signs of impairment and stated that he got confused at the Howard Avenue ramp for the highway. In addition to being cited for wrong way driving, the man will be required to retest with the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles to keep his driver’s license.
