Back on October 18, 2013, Appleton, Wisconsin police received an anonymous tip about a school bus driver possessing alcohol in a Walgreen’s parking lot. After dropping off students at four elementary schools, the bus driver allegedly drove to Walgreen’s, where he purchased beer and cigarettes. Police arrested the bus driver after he failed a field sobriety test. Prosecutors eventually dropped an operating while intoxicated charge against the driver. Instead, the bus driver pleaded no contest to a charge of possessing an open intoxicant.
