On Saturday, September 21, 2013, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred in the Town of Watertown in Jefferson County. A man was operating a three-wheeled motorcycle on East Gate Drive near River Road when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. The man and his female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. The woman died as a result of the accident, while the man was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The motorcycle accident also caused a power outage in the area. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
